Shin Megami Tensei If… shares some similarities with the popular Persona series since its set in a high school that’s transported to the demon world. After picking a male or female lead, you track down Hazama, the self-proclaimed demon king who was once a student at Karukozaka High. The “if…” bit in the title is there because Shin Megami Tensei If… takes place in the same timeline as Shin Megami Tensei. Well, that’s if Tokyo wasn’t overrun by demons.

Atlus upgraded the Super Famicom graphics for the PsOne port, which is the game you can get from PlayStation Network for 1,000 yen ($13). Digital Atlus re-releases carry a premium price in Japan.
