Returnal will be a Groundhog Day-like game. Selene was traveling through space when her ship crashed. The planet she landed on is incredibly hostile and she finds that she can’t die. When she does, she starts back at the beginning where she crashed. Your goal is to help her survive, which will be challenging due to the environment changing after each death. If all goes well, you might be able to help her get off of that planet.
Here’s a trailer, which shows Selene’s crash, the changing planet, and its combat system.
Returnal will come to the PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2021. It will cost $69.99.
