Genshin Impact Hypostatic Symphony Detailed as Event Begins

The company behind the free-to-play title Genshin Impact has released details for what players can expect if they undertake the challenges of the newly released Hypostatic Symphony event. In particular, miHoYo has outlined the Violet Lightning Concerto boss encounter, which is a daily challenge that players can face in both single player and co-op.

This creature is comparable to the Electro Hypostasis, except it possesses an Amethyst Prism that deals continuous Electro damage to nearby characters in response to electric damage. To mitigate its effects, players will have to deactivate it through elemental reactions at which point the Amethyst Prism will stop doing damage until it is subjected to further Electro damage.

So far, we know that players will need to achieve an Adventure Rank of 20 before they can participate in the challenges. We also know that rewards will include a Celebration — a Hypostasis name card and some Primogems, although the exact quantity of the latter is not yet known. More details regarding the event are expected to release on January 17, 2021.

Genshin Impact is available for free on PC, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices. There is also a Nintendo Switch version in the works. A new story quest was recently added to the game on January 12, 2021 alongside a new banner featuring the characters Ganyu, Liyue, Xiangling, and Xingqui.
