Shiravune teased a January Utawarerumono announcement, and now we know the company is fulfilling a promise. It said that it would bring the series to PCs outside Japan. Now, the Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen PC version will help complete the trilogy of localized games on January 22, 2021.
The Steam listing is already live, for people who want to plan. As with the other main entries in the series, this is a visual novel with occasional tactical battles. People follow an amnesiac named Hakuowlo who finds himself in a world filled with people who have animalistic features. While he doesn’t know who he is, it is clear he’s rather skilled and intelligent. This leads to him getting involved in a major war.
The Steam version of Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen will have typical features like Steam Achievements and Cloud support. It will also be available to play in English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese.
This means only one Utawarerumono game available in English isn’t on PCs yet. Utawarerumono: Zan, the beat’em up spin-off that goes through events that begin in Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, is only available on the PlayStation 4.
The Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen PC version will appear on Steam on January 22, 2021.
