Azur Lane KMS Z24

Azur Lane’s KMS Z24 Acts Like a Devil Lord Chuunibyou

Yostar will hold a new, major Azur Lane event, “Inverted Orthant,” that adds many shipgirls from the Germany-inspired Ironblood faction. For example, characters like KMS Peter Strasser and Prinz Heinrich will join the cast. One of the shipgirls included in the event’s roster is KMS Z24, the sister of KMS Z23—one of the protagonists in Azur Lane.

The game’s Japanese Twitter account described Azur Lane‘s personification of KMS Z24 as being like a like a chuunibyou. Gracefully reigning as a Devil Lord called Vierzwei, with a red and gray-colored attire, she instructs mortals to bow down before her. She likes everything colored in black, but hates sermons from her sisters. The latter implies that KMS Z23 has scolded her often.

The addition of KMS Z24 fills in the gap between Z23 and Z25 to complete the first three Type 1936A destroyers in the Azur Lane roster. Historically in World War II, Z24 actively attacked the Arctic convoys in Norwegian waters from 1941 to 1942. She moved to France in 1943, where she was active in the Bay of Biscay for most of the year. The Z24 was damaged in the Battle of Ushant that took place 3 days after the D-Day Normandy landings and ultimately sunk by Allied fighter-bombers on August 25, 1944.

The Android and iOS mobile game Azur Lane will have the “Inverted Orthant” event running from December 29, 2020, to January 14, 2021.
