The Great Sword’s unique action is called “Power-Stow.” This skill-bind attack allows the player to sprint with their sword stowed away. This will increase the player’s attack power for a short period using the Wire Bug’s assistance. The Great Sword deals massive, weighty attacks that can even be charged up for additional damage to overwhelm beasts.

Monster Hunter Rise – Switch Axe

The Switch Axe’s unique action is called “Invincible Gambit.” This skill-bind attack buffs up the player’s defense, protecting them from being knocked over or shrinking. The Switch Axe is a more technologically advanced weapon with two modes. Players can switch to its Axe Mode for heavy attacks, or switch to its Sword Mode for quick strikes. New to Monster Hunter Rise, the Sword vial effects now apply to Axe mode, as well.
