The Ooblets winter update is here and, while it didn’t bring the Wildlands, it did bring Coldyrain. Coldyrain being the game’s word for snow, I suppose, as 0.5 adds wintry weather and things related to and inspired by it. It’s available both in the Xbox One and PC versions of the game and, as a bonus, people will see more snow than usual until around January 2021 ends.
Here’s what happens once you grab the Ooblets winter update. Every once in a while, it might snow for in game for a day or two. (The longest a snowstorm could last is four days, according to Glumberland.) When snow calls, Wuddlin Ooblets could appear and you might find Snowplops. However, snow also means crops could freeze. That means you’d need to use Meltilizer fertilizer to unfreeze them or craft heaters or heater/sprinklers to keep your crops growing as usual. People can get the blueprints for those two new pieces of equipment and a recipe for Delislush at Wishywell.
There was also an update on the status of the next major Ooblets addition, Wildlands. It also has a tentative December 2020 release window and, as the name suggests, will provide access to the area that is currently considered something of a “dumping grounds” for Ooblets you don’t need.
Ooblets is available for the Xbox One and PC via Epic Games Store, and the 0.5 winter update is available now. (It is also playable on the Xbox Series X.) The last update added Nullwhere.
