Variable Barricade first appeared on the PlayStation Vita in Japan back in 2019, before getting a Switch port about a year later. (Its PS4 version was canceled.) As an heiress with political connections, Hibari’s family is pushing for her to get married. Her grandfather is among them, but he wants her to end up with someone she loves that also genuinely loves her. So, she ends up living in a mansion with four eligible bachelors.

Olympia Soiree is a Switch otome game with fantasy elements that debuted in Japan in 2020. It is set in a world where people have certain colors associated with him, and players follow Olympia. She’s associated with the color white and in charge of a ritual to ensure the sun shines upon the world. To properly do so, she’ll have to ally (and fall in love with) someone from,, say, the black, blue, or green color class.

Finally, there’s Dairoku: Ayakashimori, which also debuted in Japan in 2020. It doesn’t even have an official English name yet. However, it follows Shino, a woman who can see yokai and works with the government to help handle situations with them. This also means she’ll have a chance to fall in love with the yokai she’ll meet on the job.

Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ is the next one of Aksys’ Nintendo Switch otome games, and it will debut in February 2021. It will be followed by Dairoku: Ayakashimori, Olympia Soiree, and Variable Barricade.
