Did you think you’d get to play Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro’s The Good Life in 2020? Well, no. That isn’t going to happen. The game was delayed again. The new The Good Life release date will fall in the Summer 2020 release window. But on the plus side, we have new screenshots, a new trailer, and the Steam page is open.
In The Good Life, Naomi Hayward finds herself in the small town of Rainy Woods trying to find out why everyone is so happy there and make money. What she learns is that when night falls residents, herself now included, transform into animals at night. To solve the mysteries, you’ll have to become a cat and dog and use those skills to figure out what’s going on. To get by as a human, you’ll need to take on photography jobs, run errands, and farm.
Here’s the latest The Good Life release date and publisher trailer, which shows off its gameplay and Naomi’s Japanese voice acting.
Past trailers looked at things like gameplay and the music we’ll hear.
And here’s the latest batch of screenshots, which shows off small town life and what it’s like for Naomi to be cat or dog.
The Good Life Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions will all debut in Summer 2021.
