Allying with monsters in Coded Soul

Remember Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner? It was the first game to come out of Cozy Okada’s new studio, Gaia. Coded Soul is their next title and like Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner it is also a PSP game. In Coded Soul you play as Jay, who has the ability to capture over a hundred different monsters. The monsters assist Jay as he explores dungeons, similar to Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner – Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army. In Coded Soul you have two allies to protect you opposed to one in SMT: Devil Summoner.

Coded Soul also includes some interesting connectivity features. Players can link up with friends to trade monsters and play with each other. If you have Folklore for the PlayStation 3, Coded Soul can communicate with it. For a project that is set to come out on February 7, 2008 Sony has been awfully quiet about it. Since Coded Soul’s release date is just shy of three months away we should be hearing more about it soon.
