Jupiter’s next Picross game is about to appear. No, I’m not talking about a release date for Picross S: Mega Drive & Mark III Edition yet. Rather, a new entry in the mainline S series is on the way. On November 26, 2020, people will be able to get Picross S5

Like Picross S4, it will build on the established formula with standard puzzles, Mega Picross, Clip Picross and Color Picross. There will be over 480 puzzles total, in addition to the typical Extra puzzles unlocked by save files from Picross S, S2, and S3. As usual, the main Picross games make up the bulk of the puzzles, coming in at 300. There are also 30 new Color puzzles and 130 Clip Picross puzzles.

There will also be a new accessibility option to improve the general Color Picross quality of life. You can go through those 30 puzzles as usual. If you are having trouble seeing the design due to its colors, the High Contrast option will change the colors to different ones, like blue, red, and yellow, to make it easier to see what you’re doing.

Here’s the latest trailer teasing its puzzles and features.

Picross S5 will appear on the Nintendo Switch eShop on November 26, 2020. It will be $9.99/£8.99/€9.99. Its website is now open.
