Animal Crossing Save Data Transfer Includes Single Player and Island Options

People can soon kick off the Animal Crossing save data transfer process, allowing them to make big New Horizons moves. However, it turns out there will be two possibilities available after the November 19, 2020 Winter Update arrives. Should people make a move, they will be able to move their character or relocate an entire island.

Nintendo updated its support site to explain how each of these moves will work. If you choose a Resident Move, then a non-island representative character will be able to transfer to another copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on a different Nintendo Switch system. This person can’t be the first avatar made when the game was set up. If the new system and game doesn’t have any save file, that character will become that version’s new island representative and start a new island. If it does, they will move there as a new resident.

As for the other Animal Crossing save data transfer option, it’s more substantial. When you go with that sort of move, everything goes with you to an entirely new Switch. Every player-created character, including the island representative, all animal neighbors, all of your items and your entire island is moved.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for the Nintendo Switch. The Winter 2020 update, which will add Animal Crossing save data transfer options, will appear on November 19, 2020 worldwide. then be followed by a late January 2021 update with even more new features and Festivale.
