All polls have reported in, and the ballots are fully counted. The world has a winner: Riesz is the most popular protagonist in Trials of Mana! In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the original Trials of Mana (known as Seiken Densetsu 3), Square Enix released some art by character designer HACCAN to commemorate the results of the protagonist popularity poll.

The piece shows off Trials of Mana‘s Riesz in her Fenrir Knight outfit. Behind her are the runners-up in the contest. Second place was claimed by Sorceress Angela (shown here in her Dark Magus class gear), and the third place finish, Hawkeye (rocking his Nightblade look). Bringing up the rear half were werewolf hero Kevin in 4th place, warrior Duran in 5th, and finally the diminutive priestess Charlotte in 6th.

The vote itself was taken via the official Trials of Mana protagonist popularity contest site, and involved clicking a special button to register a vote via Twitter. Besides the results, visitors to the site can download a handful of special wallpapers promoting both the Trials of Mana remake and the remastered edition of Seiken Densetsu 3 released earlier.

Trials of Mana released to strong sales in Japan in April of 2020, and received several post-release updates, including extra difficulty levels, bug fixes, and other improvements. It is immediately available for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
