It’ll Cost $143 to Wear a Death Stranding BB Pod Around Your Neck

There’s a more subtle option coming for people who saw Sam Porter Bridges’ BB Pod in Death Stranding and thought it was a fashionable look. Good Smile Company announced a Death Stranding BB Pod necklace. The 925 silver piece’s pre-orders are open until January 6, 2021 at Good Smile Company’s store, and it will ship to Japan in April 2021 and North America in May 2021. All it will cost is, well, $142.99/¥15,000.

The BB Pod is a solid silver charm, so it isn’t like you can see a little Lou floating inside of it. However, the container does have all the embellishments the in-game pod would have.

Ever since its launch, lots of Death Stranding merchandise appeared to cache in on its popularity and aesthetic. After the PC version launched, for example, a Bridges PC case showed up. Good Smile Company also made a Sam Bridges Nendoroid and figma. 

While $143 might seem like a lot, it is far from the priciest Death Stranding accessory. Kojima Productions and ACRONYM made a $1,700 jacket, after all. There were also the €180 J.F. Rey glasses.

The silver BB Pod necklace will ship in May 2021. Death Stranding is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
