Sony described what some haptic feedback features will entail in the past, mentioning that triggers on the DualSense controller will not work if your firearm is empty, for example. Adaptive triggers will also be included in this experience, with their purpose adding to a greater sense of immersion while playing Resident Evil Village.

Other features that will be in Resident Evil Village include “fast loading,” with the page boasting that there will be almost no load times due to the PS5’s ultra-high-speed SSD. It also confirmed 4K visuals with Ray Tracing support. It will be 3D audio compatible, should a player use headphones.

In addition to the next-gen variants, versions of Resident Evil Village for the PS4 and Xbox One are currently in development. However, the developers are still uncertain about whether or not these versions will be able to retain the “immersive quality” of Village. As such, they still not confirmed releases.

Resident Evil Village is in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and it will launch in 2021. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil Village are currently in development.
