Bandai Namco Amusement has published the first trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna II. It shows the new features added to the long-running arcade game’s sequel, such as customizing and preparing multiple Mobile Suits.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna (which can also be translated to Bonds of the Battlefield) is a dome-screened team battle arcade game that was first launched in November 2006. Unlike the Extreme Vs. fast-paced crossover brawlers, this title offered a more realistic pace of mech battles with a focus on the Universal Century timeline and a controller layout that more resembles an actual Mobile Suit cockpit. A console game version of Senjou no Kizuna was also released for PlayStation Portable in March 2009.
Bandai Namco first teased the existence of Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna 2 at the JAEPO 2020 event held in February. The new trailer shows how both the Unreal Engine-powered game and the new arcade cabinets will look like. A number of new features will be added to this full-blown sequel. The Mobile Suit armaments and even the mechs’ body colors will be customized at will.
A player can also set a Deck consisting of three different Mobile Suits. While being sortied in a battle, the player will switch between any units registered in the same deck and perform an airdrop anywhere on the map.
