Bandai Namco announced a collaboration between The Idolmaster and Henn na Hotel. For a limited time, the entire Tokyo Asakusa Tawaramachi building of the hotel group will be decorated with The Idolmaster-related content from January 14 to February 25, 2020. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Henn na Hotel Tokyo Asakusa Tawaramachi is already living up to its quirky name by having a contactless check-in counter with a holographic monitor that shows a 2D husbando, a ninja, or even a talking dinosaur. When the collaboration kicks in, these slots will be filled by 765 Production’s very own Chihaya Kisaragi, Haruka Amami, and Miki Hoshii.
The hotel lobby and all of the 217 guest rooms will be decorated with illustrations of characters from the franchise’s five ongoing brands: The Idolmaster, Cinderella Girls, Million Live, Shiny Colors, and SideM. Early-bird reservations for staying in the collaboration rooms will be opened on Friday, 30 October 2020, at 10 AM JST. Three types of plans will be available: A no-breakfast plan, a breakfast plan with a luncheon placemat, and a limited goods plan that comes with a luggage tag, eco bag, leather button tray, and keyholder.
The Idolmaster is Bandai Namco’s long-running series of simulation games where players take the role of a Japanese idol-managing producer. The company is also planning to hold the Bandai Namco Entertainment Festival 2nd at Tokyo Dome on February 6-7, 2021, where all five active brands of the franchise will also be present.
Although the series is recently more active on the mobile scene with multiple game apps, a new console game—The Idolmaster: Starlit Season—is currently under development for PlayStation 4 and PC with 2021 set as its launch window.
