Corpse Party: Blood covered Repeated Fear will be heading to the Nintendo Switch in Japan in 2020. This port will feature extra characters, the inclusion of the extra scenarios found in the 3DS version of the game, and voice acting for the aforementioned extra scenarios. No release date was specified beyond the 2020 window, and this new version has only been confirmed for a Japanese release. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The news broke through the official Corpse Party Twitter. An additional statement said that the release date will be announced via the Twitter as soon as it has been decided. Additionally, voice actresses Satomi Akesaka and Mika Okamoto will be providing the voices for the new characters.
The tweet also explained that this version of Corpse Party: Blood Covered Repeated Fear is being rebuilt specifically for the Nintendo Switch hardware. What that exactly entails has yet to be fully disclosed.
Back in July 2020, the official Corpse Party Twitter posted an ominous message.
The original Corpse Party: Blood Covered Repeated Fear was released in 2012 for the PlayStation Portable. In 2015, a version for the Nintendo 3DS appeared. (Both were localized.) This entry was a remake and enhanced port of the original Corpse Party. Corpse Party first appeared in 1996 for the PC.
