Way back in May 2020, Good Smile Company announced that a Xenoblade Chronicles Melia Antiqua figure was in the works. Specifically, it referenced her Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition appearance. At the time, we had a general piece of art to go by, but now we have a full, unpainted prototype thanks to WonHobby 2020 Autumn. As shown on Twitter and the company’s gallery turns out she will have a rather active pose!
The 1/7th Melia figure has a different facial structure than the version of the heroine that appeared in the Nintendo 3DS and Wii versions of the game. It also pulls from the design of the character after the big reveal, for a more active pose. She is wielding the World Ender staff she has equipped in the Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected epilogue.
There are quite a few Nintendo-related or adjacent figures on the way, with lots of them shown off at this particular event. For example, the newest Fire Emblem figure will be of Lyndis. A Pokemon Sword and Shield Marnie Nendoroid is in development. We will also see a Bayonetta Nendoroid in 2021.
The Xenoblade Chronicles Melia 1/7th figure based on her Future Connected appearance is in development. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is available for the Nintendo Switch.
