Atelier Ryza 2 Famitsu DX Edition Shows off Reisalin’s Legs

Many a memorable character design surfaces some central quality that attracts attention, be it a powerful symbol (like Superman’s “S”) or a unique hairstyle (Cloud’s peak comes to mind). Thus it wouldn’t be too out there to say that Atelier Ryza protagonist Reisalin Stout’s…stout legs, coming courtesy of character designer Toridamono, are what helped catapult her to notoriety among fans and onlookers alike. And it seems like Gust and Koei Tecmo are well aware of that notion, judging by the contents of the Atelier Ryza 2 Famitsu DX Edition.

Online shop Ebiten got a hold of one of the Atelier Ryza 2 Famitsu DX Edition’s key bits of merch: A pass cardholder, and quickly took to Twitter to promote its qualities:

The pass – which can hold an IC card for tapping on Japan’s ubiquitous train turnstiles and other touchpoints – features a closeup of Reisalin’s legs and hips. As a bonus, the image isn’t just a flat picture but is molded into the surface of the item to add life-like texture. Officially called the “Ryza’s Thick Thighs Pass Case,” the case comes with a dummy card featuring a full-body illustration of Reisalin in her Atelier Ryza 2 outfit.

And there’s more. The package includes a B2-size wall hanging poster and an acrylic panel poster featuring Atelier Ryza 2 illustrations featured in Weekly Famitsu:

The biggest bit of merchandise included in the Atelier Ryza 2 Famitsu DX pack is a “3D Crystal” item consisting of a transparent crystal with a laser-etched design. The crystal can be mounted on an included LED-equipped stand to add lighting effects, as well.

All these physical items are exclusive to Ebiten, but the premium box available more widely also has some other items, like a B2-size cloth poster, clear files, a mini-character charm, and codes for downloadable costumes.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in Japan on December 3, 2020. It will arrive on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in other regions in Winter 2020. Koei Tecmo has promised the game’s international release will not be censored.
