Square Enix filed the trademarks for both ‘Forspoken’ and ‘A Hero’s Bonds’ on September 24, 2020. The company actually filed a third trademark for ‘Nenkon Kihan‘ on the same date as well. We don’t have any clues as to what these trademarks could be, so they can be anything from a new DLC to a brand-new title.

When it comes to Square Enix trademarks, we’ve seen just about everything so your guess is as good as ours. Keep in mind that when a company files a trademark, it doesn’t always result in anything at all. So basically, only time will tell what comes out of Forspoken, A Hero’s Bonds, and Nenkon Kihan.

While trademarks don’t always result in games, back in July, Square Enix filed a few for Live A Live in Australia, Europe, and the United States, so it appears more likely to have something come out of those, in particular, in the near future. Square Enix trademarked Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy Adventure, Mystuc Quest in Europe in February 2019. This ended up being for the Western release of Collection of Mana, which released in June 2019.
