Kirby Fighters 2 Enters the Arena Today

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

On September 22, 2020, Kirby Fighters 2 showed up on Nintendo’s Play Nintendo site in the Game Finder, even though it hadn’t been announced. Now, it’s actually available worldwide as a September 23, 2020 shadowdrop. People can pick up the fighter, which has single and both online and offline multiplayer modes, immediately for $19.99. (Yes, this means that eShop page works now too.)

The story mode lets you go through a campaign alone or with a friend to fight King Dedede and Meta Knight. (Don’t worry, as this is a lighthearted “buddy duel” challenge.) As you go through fights, you can choose which stats you want increased for ensuing fights until you reach the bosses. As noted in the leak, Wrestler is the new Copy Ability introduced in this installment, with Artist, Beam, Cutter, Sword, Water, and Yo-yo. Gooey appears, alongside people like Magolor. You can also earn Rare Hats by playing or Special Rare Hats for having save data from other Kirby games.

As mentioned before, there are multiple Kirby Fighters 2 multiplayer options. If you know people nearby who can safely visit, four people can play on one system or four people with their own systems and copies of the game can join up locally. If you have Nintendo Switch Online, up to four people can play together.
