This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The latest round of Pokemon Sword and Shield raids have been been announced, and they’ll give you a chance to save your Sun Stones and Moon Stones. Until September 20, 2020, people can celebrate the Autumn Equinox, which falls on September 22, 2020 this year, by seeing more of the Pokemon that would need those evolutionary items.

There will be six featured Pokemon total. The three Sun Stone Pokemon will be Bellossom, Lilligant, and Whimsicott. On the Moon Stone side, we have Clefable, Musharna, and Wigglytuff. Nintendo’s Wild Area news update also made mention of shiny Clefables lurking about, so we could have a chance of seeing an increased number of them.

As for why this is happening, the Autumn Equinox is when we have 12 hours of both daylight and night. It’s also when we mark the beginning of fall each year.

This is the second Pokemon Sword and Shield raids update for the month. September kicked off with a chance to see Appleton, Flapple, and Toxtricity more often when going peeking into the Wild Area’s dens.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch, with the Isle of Armor DLC out now and The Crown Tundra coming in Fall 2020. This new raid event will end on September 20, 2020.
