The time has come. The Idola Phantasy Star Saga global version launched! People can immediately pick it up on their Android or Apple iOS devices. Though, if you pre-ordered it back in August 2020, you might find it already waiting for you the next time you grab your phone or tablet.

As you might imagine, this means a new trailer to go over what you can expect from the game. While it’s inspired by Phantasy Star, it has a new setting. Especially notable is that you choose the “destiny” of your units and their progression to determine what sort of role they’ll play in your party.

Here’s the Idola Phantasy Star Saga trailer celebrating its launch. It goes over gameplay, shows off a lot of characters, and eve shows off the 30th anniversary new episode at the 37-second mark. (Though, well, in 2020 the series is actually celebrating its 33rd anniversary.)

There’s also a Phantasy Star Online 2 giveaway to celebrate the launch. The official Twitter account shared a Visiphone code for 200 SG. It didn’t say if or when the code might expire, so it might be wise to use it as soon as possible.

Idola Phantasy Star Saga is immediately available for Android and Apple iOS devices worldwide. It’s actually been available in Japan for quite a while, though. While Boltrend only just picked it up, Sega’s kept it going over there since November 2018.
