Back when Tawna was revealed as a playable character, Activision said Crash Bandicoot 4 demo access would be offered as a pre-order incentive. Well, that demo is now live, and there’s a trailer and PlayStation Blog entry that helped introduce what people will be able to do in it. Basically, get ready to spend time with Crash and Dr. Neo Cortex.
There are three levels total. Crash can be used in Dino Dash and Snow Way Out. In Dino Dash, people can try using the Lani-Loli mask’s abilities. You’re trying to run away from an Eggipus T-Rex. By phase-shifting, you can clear his path. With Snow Way Out, you can slow down time with Kupuna-Wa. This is an ice level, and altering time’s flow might make it easier and safer to progress through a slick world.
The Dr. Cortex level is also Snow Way Out. Again, it remains an ice level, though you’ll use his dashing and transforming abilities to find a safe way through it.
Here’s the new Crash Bandicoot 4 trailer offering a peek at both characters in the trial.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2, 2020. The Crash Bandicoot 4 demo is available now if you pre-order.
