This week’s biggest import release is also a domestic one and stars Mario, Mr. Video Game himself, in three different adventures. Nintendo uses Super Mario 3D All-Stars to give Switch owners Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy in one package. Each game has upscaled graphics and a built-in jukebox that lets you listen to the soundtrack separately. This is the first time Super Mario Sunshine has been ported to any other platform since the game’s release on Nintendo GameCube. For Super Mario Galaxy, while separated Joy-Cons are supported, you can also press the Y button to use the spin attack if you are using a Pro Controller. Be sure to get this game early though, as physical pre-orders have sold out and it will only be sold until March 2021.
There are also some other titles coming out this week in Japan. One is the Switch version of Azur Lane: Crosswave which will release alongside its DLC characters. Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 will allow players to take control of classic Namco characters to fate against alien invaders in baseball games. Monster Rancher 2 is another classic returning, as it is coming to mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch.
