Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fall Recipes Have Arrived

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons fall season has arrived. While a new month or season usually means new bugs, fish, and potentially merchandise available in in-game shops, this latest installment means something else. There is a whole assortment of new seasonal ACNH DIY recipes for folks to collect that use things like acorns, maple leaves, and pine cones.

Essentially, trees produce new resources in the game during fall months. These, in turn, can be used for the new ACNH DIY recipes. Acorns are available from the deciduous trees starting September 1, 2020 in the Northern Hemisphere, while pine trees will drop pinecones.

If you watch the skies for floating balloons, you might see them pop recipes that use both of these items. For example, Nintendo showed off the tree’s bounty little tree in its reminder, which uses one piece of hardwood, four acorns, and six pinecones to make a decorative tree you can place on a table in your home. You could also get items to make an acorn pochette bag or a pine bonsai, should the balloons drop the right ACNH recipe.

Be advised that not all new fall crafting items are available. Like the cherry blossom petals, you might see maple leaves floating through the air after November in the Northern Hemisphere. Mushrooms will also appear under trees during autumn, but after November.

Nintendo brought this all up in a new overview video that prepares people for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fall season. It mentions some of the new bugs and fish you can catch.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for the Nintendo Switch. As a reminder, the Summer Update Wave 2 announcement did note that a Fall 2020 update is on the way that adds Halloween as an event, Jack as an NPC, and potentially other new features.
