Mary Skelter Finale has been delayed. Slated to release in October, Mary Skelter Finale is now scheduled to release on November 5, 2020. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The official statement from the Compile Heart team does not list a specific reason as to why Finale has been delayed. Instead the team mentions that the date has been changed “due to various reasons.” However, they do apologize for whatever inconvenience this may have caused customers and to fans looking forward to the release of this title.
This is not the first time Mary Skelter Finale has seen a delay. In June, it had been announced by Compile Heart that Finale would be pushed back to October from its original window of release in late August.
Mary Skelter Finale is the last game in the dungeon crawler series. The plot begins after Mary Skelter 2, and follows a cast of new and returning characters. A new opening movie was also uploaded to the official Compile Heart YouTube channel. The opening movie included the new title theme “A Longing Dilemma.” You can watch the video and listen to the new theme here.
Mary Skelter Finale will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on November 5, 2020 in Japan.
