Who will be the Pokemon folks will get to catch during the September and October Pokemon GO Community Day events? Well, it’ll be up to the players. Niantic announced on Twitter it will let people decide who will be the stars of the next two events.
However, the voting pool will be limited to four specific characters. Niantic shared the contestants for the first round. Caterpie, Charmander, Grimer, and Porygon will all have a chance of being the most plentiful Pokemon.
Of those four, one has already been a Community Day character. Back in May 2018, Charmander had its moment.
As a reminder, a Pokemon GO Community Day event means that a critter will be far more easy to find for a set amount of time on one day. You’ll also have a greater chance of finding a shiny variant, and it could very likely have a special move that it wouldn’t normally know. Past events have also included special bonuses like Incense’s effects lasting three houses, Special Research missions coming up, increased amounts of Stardust being doled out for every catch, and eggs hatching more quickly.
Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. The last Community Day was held on August 8, 2020 and made it much easier to find Magikarp.
