The original No More Heroes could be getting a port for the Nintendo Switch. Â A new rating has appeared, this time from the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee. [Thanks, Gematsu.]
The Taiwan rating doesn’t provide any additional info, but it’s worth noting that it lists Switch as the only platform. Goichi “Suda51” Suda previously brought up that he was in talks with Marvelous about bringing No More Heroes to Switch. This was brought up in 2018, when the creative director said he’d love to see something like what the Bayonetta & Bayonetta 2 compilation got for Switch, but with No More Heroes.Â
He also mentioned last year in a Dengeki interview that there were plans to bring previous No More Heroes entries to PlayStation 4. However, while the consideration was positive, at the time, there wasn’t anything concrete as it was still in discussion with the IP holder Marvelous.
No More Heroes first released for the Wii in Japan in December 2007. It released in North America in January 2008, followed by Europe in March 2008. The game was later ported to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with additional content as No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise. The sequel, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle released for the Wii in January 2010. The third mainline entry, No More Heroes III, is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.
