July 10, 2020 has been an interesting day, to be sure. The morning kicked off with people discovering a Hong Kong PlayStation Store listing confirming Far Cry 6 was on the way. Now, Ubisoft has apparently decided that there’s no point hiding the news. It has released a teaser trailer for the game and confirmed it will appear at its Ubisoft Forward video presentation.
Here’s the teaser trailer, which was shared via the official Far Cry Twitter account. It shows Anton Castillo, the new villain played by Giancarlo Esposito.

As for the leaked product listing, which has since been pulled from the PlayStation Store, it offered a few more details about the game. Anton and his son, Diego, will be the people we’ll meet and face on the tropical island Yara. It will supposedly be released on February 18, 2021. There will also apparently be a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version if people purchase the PlayStation 4 one.

Ubisoft Forward will be held on July 12, 2020. Remember to log into Uplay during the event to claim a free Watch Dogs 2 PC copy. Far Cry 6 is apparently in development and is, at the very least, coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. (PC and Xbox versions are likely.)
