Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Trailer Highlights Its Story, Boss Fights, and Characters

We’ll soon get to check out the virtual world of Underworld in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. Bandai Namco shared a new trailer that highlights its story scenes, intense boss fights, and some of your favorite characters.

For the first time ever, players will get to experience the Sword Art Online anime storyline in game format. This time, you’ll visit a mysterious virtual world known as the “Underworld.” Those of you who watched the anime might recognize the story from the Alicization Arc.

In the game, you take on the role of Kirito as the protagonist who wakes up in a mysterious yet familiar world. In this virtual world, it appears that AIs behave like humans. The gameplay features seamless battles in real-time, with plenty of action with combinations of sword skills and sacred arts. In addition to Kirito, Eugeo, Alice, Administrator, the game will feature familiar faces like Sinon, Leafa, Lisbeth, Silica, and more.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will release for the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Japan on July 9, 2020. The game will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam worldwide on July 10, 2020. Check out more of its big battles in our previous report.
