Bandai Namco has been showing off a lot of its next Sword Art Online game. While the last major trailer focused on gameplay by giving people a chance to see what a four-player fight could look like, the latest lets you see what you’ll experience when the game begins. The Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris opening movie has been shared.
Here’s the Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris opening movie and theme song. Make sure you have some headphones nearby so you can hear ReoNa’s “Scar/let.” (It’s a bop.)

ReoNa’s name should sound familiar to Sword Art Online fans. Her debut actually happened in Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online. She performed Elza “Pitohui” Kanzaki’s songs, which included “Disorder,” “Hikari,” “Independence,” “Pilgrim,” “Reason,” and “Step, Step.” She also performs the Alicization anime theme song “Forget-me-not.”
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will make its debut on July 9, 2020 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan and on July 10, 2020 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in North America and Europe and PC worldwide.
