The power of anime is on our side this summer, and Bandai Namco is channeling that energy with a newly-announced digital event. The Bandai Namco Play Anime Live digital showcase will air on the internet in various locations staring on July 22, 2020 at 4pm PT. This event will be all about upcoming anime video game news, so expect to see a lot of Shonen Jump properties.
Obviously, news and premiere announcements will be the focal point of the Bandai Namco Play Anime Live digital showcase, but that won’t be all. Bandai Namco will also feature different events, such as Q & A sessions with different game developers. There will also be giveaways, and “more.”
Play Anime Live will be airing on Bandai Namco’s official YouTube, Facebook Live, and Twitch channels. The press release Bandai Namco sent out didn’t seem to indicate how long the event will be.
It’s probably important to note that Bandai Namco used the phrase “anime-inspired,” so that could include games that aren’t just based on actual anime licenses. We already know Tales of Arise is delayed, but there’s always the possibility of new information on it, as well as more footage or details for Scarlet Nexus. The announcement also mentions mobile, and that makes plenty of sense as well.
