It’s a date! After announcing earlier in June 2020 that the Genshin Impact final closed beta would be held sometime in July 2020, miHoYo has announced a start date for the test. Invites are being sent out now, and everyone who gets one will be able to take part starting on July 2, 2020.
As a reminder, the focus of this Genshin Impact final closed beta is to work on the cross-play functionality. When the full version of the game appears, people on consoles, mobile devices, and PCs will all be able to play together. In the meantime, those invited will be able to test out how the game works on the PlayStation 4 and things like PCs or Android devices. Also, unfortunately the Nintendo Switch will not be a part of this test run.
Here’s the official announcement from “Paimon” bringing things up. People should check the email addresses they used at the official site (and maybe double check the spam folder too).
