The return of Agent Francis York Morgan is upon us, and a Deadly Premonition 2 trailer is ready to help invite us into the new game’s setting. A video has been released and it is oddly welcoming, yet also haunting. It’s essentially a way of setting the stage for Le Carre, Louisiana by initially making it seem inviting. But then, well, the game’s true nature slips in.
This whole Deadly Premonition 2 trailer is narrated by Agent York. While it seems like he’s describing it to us, the viewer, his mention of his old friend Zach from Deadly Premonition at the end suggests there is a different audience in mind. Things start out simple enough, looking at a town that seems very relaxed. You even get to see activities like a bayou shooting minigame and bowling. However, things take a turn when we see footage of the real reason why we’re there. Unexplained murders have been taking place.
Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 10, 2020, and the original game is immediately available on the system. It was first announced back in September 2019, and at the time Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro described it as a “Switch exclusive at launch.”
