Welcome! Pokemon Cafe Mix will soon be ready to take people’s orders. The puzzle game, which has been available to preload on the Nintendo eShop since its reveal on June 17, 2020, will launch on the system on June 23, 2020. In addition, the reveal of the Nintendo Switch product page has confirmed many details about how you’ll play the game.

To start, Pokemon Cafe Mix will only be playable in handheld mode on the system. This is due to it being a touchscreen-reliant game where players must tap Pokemon’s heads to clear them off of the screen and put points on the scoreboard while playing. (It is a match-3 sort of game that is along the lines of games like Disney Tsum Tsum or Yo-kai Watch Wibble Wobble.)

A few details about its microtransactions were also revealed. The optional purchases will involve Golden Acorns. Based on the description, you could use them to refill your stamina (hearts), so you can play through more levels in one sitting. You could use them to continue, in the event you don’t complete a puzzle in the offered number of turns. They could be spent on items too, which sound as though they could be power-ups to help you meet objectives and clear the stage of certain items.

Pokemon Cafe Mix will appear on the Nintendo Switch on June 23, 2020. The Android and Apple iOS release date has yet to be confirmed.
