Kadokawa Games revealed new character art for Metal Max Xeno Reborn by Takeshi Oga for the updated game.
Using the characters of the original Metal Max Xeno as a base, illustrator Takeshi Oga provided brand-new visuals used for character portraits in Metal Max Xeno Reborn.
First, check out some of the key characters from the game in their new visuals below:
Firstly, from left to right, we have the starting members in Yokky, Talis, and Toni.
Secondly, we have the fellow survivors you meet in Dystokio: Dylan, Maria, Misaki, and Ittica.
Last but not least, you’ll find these three working on something or helping people out over at the Iron Base: Jingoro, Po-M, and D’Annunzio.
If the art style looks familiar, Takeshi Oga’s previous works include concept art and illustrations for Gravity Rush 2 and concept art for Lost Dimension. Additionally, he has experience working on titles such as Siren 2, Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIV, and more.
The original Metal Max Xeno featured character art by Oda Non. Fans of the original artwork by the H artist won’t have to worry either, as players can unlock the option to switch between original art and the new art after clearing the story in Metal Max Xeno Reborn.
The above is a look at an event scene featuring Yokky in the new art style by Takeshi Oga.
In other words, starting with your second playthrough, you can set it to the original character art style.
Metal Max Xeno Reborn will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 10, 2020. Check out more details for the game here and here.
