A new line of Pokemon blind-box Re-Ment toys have launched in Japan, and they’re the exact sort of item people who have bad luck with plants and love these iconic characters might enjoy. The six figures in the Pokemon Pocket Botanical line pair one, or in one case two, characters with a fake plant that may or may not resemble or go well with the character. They are immediately available in blind boxes in Japan for 880円 (~$8) each. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
The six figures in this collection give people a chance to get an Arcanine, Bulbasaur, Dratini with Horsea, Pigeot, Pikachu, and Scizor. (Scizor is the only second generation character in the lineup.) In some cases, the fake plant matches the character, as the Bulbasaur’s flower looks like the one that eventually grows on a Venusaur’s back and the Pikachu’s cactus has a Pikachu shape to it. Every figure also has its official Pokedex number listed somewhere on it.
Here’s a close-up look at the entire Pokemon Pocket Botanical collection.
Re-Ment often releases various Pokemon lines of figures and toys, with some of them being little terrariums where you have a clear Poke Ball and a scene with a character inside.
The Pokemon Pocket Botanical collection is immediately available in Japan. As for the games, the Nintendo Switch’s Pokemon Sword and Shield will get its The Isle of Armor expansion on June 17, 2020 and a Pokemon Trading Card Game Battle Academy set will launch on June 21, 2020.
