It’s been a while since we have seen or heard anything about Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers. After the January 2020 delay announcement that bumped it out of May 2020 and into September 2020 and confirmations about its special editions in February 2020, we didn’t hear too much. But now we know when we’ll get to see some Marvel’s Avengers gameplay footage again on June 24, 2020.
The announcement was made via a new trailer that talked about how the development process has changed since the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic began. It began with a look at empty Crystal Dynamics offices, before switching to shots showing the developers working remotely. These are interspersed with screenshot stills and even some small Marvel’s Avengers gameplay clips.
It then goes on to confirm the Marvel’s Avengers War Table will be held on June 24, 2020 and offers some confirmations about what we’ll see. Both Story Missions and co-op gameplay will be on deck. It also mentioned that new trailers for the game will be shown.
Marvel’s Avengers will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on September 4, 2020. Preordering will get people a Marvel Legacy Outfit Pack that offers classic costumes for each of the playable characters.
