Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will release at the end of this week but Monolith Soft still has some surprises for us with the introduction of Casual Mode. The Japanese official Twitter account shared the latest details with a short update.
With the option turned on, Casual Mode lowers the difficulty of battles in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. We didn’t get any further details on exactly how the difficulty lowers, but it likely lowers the enemy HP and damage or a mix of both. According to Monolith Soft, even beginners will get to enjoy the game with ease when Casual Mode is on.
While Casual Mode was made with beginners in mind, the new advanced settings we saw yesterday are a bit of the opposite. This feature allows you to have control over the level of each character through an EXP stockpile. This allows players to explore freely and take on as many quests without over-leveling and being too strong for the next part. You can check out more details in our previous report.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will release for the Nintendo Switch on May 29, 2020. You can also check out details on the Ponspectors here, the new Time Attack mode here, and the Events Theater Mode here.
