Capcom keeps a rather handy page of updated sales figures information. The Capcom Platinum Titles list gives people a chance to check in typically on a yearly basis to see what series are really “hitting” with people. Said official site tends to be updated whenever whenever the new financial results are released and, since the consolidated financial results of the year ended March 31, 2020 have arrived, the list’s figures have changed. Unsurprisingly, Monster Hunter and Resident Evil have retained their hold on the top of the charts.
To be most specific, the top ten Capcom Platinum Titles haven’t really changed too much since the 2019 update. The top five, in particular, remain pretty much the same. Monster Hunter: World is still the top seller, though it went from 12.4 million copies sold as of March 2019 to 15.7 million sold as of March 31, 2020. Resident Evil 2 clawed its way over Street Fighter II to swap spots with it. However, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne did slip in to take seventh place with 5.2 million copies sold and Street Fighter V pushed into tenth place from sixteenth with its new 4.5 million sales figure.
