The PlayStation Store roundups going over April 2020 sales for the United States and Europe have arrived, and at least in one region, Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, and Barret conquered all. In the United States, the Final Fantasy VII Remake PlayStation Store sales couldn’t be beat. It was the most downloaded game in the region.
However, some older titles kept the crew from reaching their full potential in Europe. The European PlayStation Blog noted that Final Fantasy VII Remake PlayStation Store downloads only secured the game a fourth place slot. In that region, Grand Theft Auto V came in first, followed by FIFA 20 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
To be fair, the top ten in both regions aren’t all that dissimilar. Resident Evil 3 ended up finding a place for itself in both areas, and in each case it and Final Fantasy VII Remake were the only “new” titles to find a foothold.
