Get ready to soar. The Aokana Switch and PlayStation 4 English versions are going to appear this summer. On August 21, 2020, PQube will be releasing digital and physical copies of the Sprite visual novel. Unfortunately, the physical release is limited to only an Aokana Switch limited edition, and the PlayStation 4 version will only be available digitally through the PlayStation Store.
With the Aokana limited edition, the goal is to help people better appreciate the game’s art. In addition to getting the game on a cartridge, people will get a 100-page art book. This is a paperback book. It will also be in full color. It will cost $55.90/€51.63/£44.99 through Funstock.
Here’s a better look at the book and the physical box art.
In Aokana, players follow Kunahama Institute students Masaya Hinata, who used to participate in the Flying Circus with Grav-Shoes, but has since quit. He ends up being the founder of the school’s new Flying Circus team, helping to prepare the group for competitions while also getting a chance to form meaningful relationships with the different heroines.
Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC in Japan. The Aokana Switch and PlayStation 4 ports will be released worldwide on August 21, 2020. A successful Kickstarter led to the Nintendo Switch port localization from NekoNyan.
