Earlier today we learned that Switch and PC farm sim Doraemon: Story of Seasons will release on PS4 and Bandai Namco announced that the Asia version will also release on the same day.
Doraemon: Story of Seasons first released in Japan for the Nintendo Switch in June 2019. It then released for PC via Steam in October 2019 alongside a worldwide release for the Nintendo Switch.
According to comments from the devs, the team began working on the PlayStation 4 port of Doraemon: Story of Seasons shortly after the worldwide release. The team decided to work on it after hearing plenty of demand from fans who wanted to play on PS4. While nothing is set in stone, for now, Bandai Namco is considering free updates for the PS4 and Switch versions. The game’s developer Brownies ran into several hurdles porting to a different platform, but things are going smoothly now.
Furthermore, Marvelous also mentioned that staff is working on what’s after Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any further info on the new title.
Doraemon: Story of Seasons is currently available worldwide for the Nintendo Switch and PC.  Doraemon: Story of Seasons will release for the PlayStation 4 in Japan and Asia on July 30, 2020. It’ll go for 6,100 yen. Check our earlier playtest on the relaxed farming game here.
