Like the rest of the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the gaming community (and more specifically the gaming industry) pretty hard. But while we’ve had to read about event cancellations, game delays, and employee hardships, we haven’t really had too many role models step up. Now, we finally have that… well, sort of. Albert Wesker, of all people, has released a new video, recorded live from an African volcano to help spread the good word about CDC guidelines and help flatten the curve.
Many have waited to hear what the "scientist" has to say about current events… #residentevil #residentevil3 #residentevil4 #AlbertWesker #JillValentine #chrisredfield pic.twitter.com/qmrN3qDQ9i

You can check out the video right above this paragraph, which features cameo appearances from other Resident Evil characters and their respective voice talent. The star of the show, besides the CDC home-made face mask guidelines of course, is Wesker and one D.C. Douglas.
D.C. Douglas is a voice actor whose most notable roles (besides the subject of this article, natch) for the Siliconera audience likely include Kamoshida (Persona 5), Gharnef (Fire Emblem Warriors), and Azrael (BlazBlue). For reasons that likely have to do with the side effects of T-Virus infection, Douglas has often produced silly videos in character, such as this one of Wesker reading Donald Trump quotes.
This is a rare act of benevolence from the former S.T.A.R.S. leader, but in these trying times we all have to stick together.
