htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is set in a futuristic and dystopian world. A young girl named Mion has no memories and an odd pair of horns growing out of her head. She’s also in the depths of a dangerous world filled with hazards, enemies, and traps. Fortunately, she isn’t alone. The players control Lumen and Umbra, two fireflies. Lumen is a light one that guides her safely through the world. Umbra is one that can act in darkness and shadows to influence the actual world. Your goal is to get her to the surface with these two figures.

The htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary iOS and Android versions both rely on touch controls. They also have English and Japanese language options. However, the price differs between them. It is $17.99 on Google Play and $15.99 on iTunes.

As a reminder, htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is the first of the NIS Masayuki Furuya games. These are the subtle puzzle games that tend to have mature themes or situations where players are helping to guide or care for an in-game character. Others like it include A Rose in the Twilight and The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. The upcoming roguelike void tRrLM{};//Void Terrarium also has a similar atmosphere surrounding it.

htol#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is available on the PlayStation Vita, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices.
