Capcom has announced that both the PlayStation 4 and PC Resident Evil: Resistance open beta tests have resumed. After some technical difficulties, both of these platforms had their OBTs postponed. Service for the Xbox One was unaffected by this technical difficulty and has been available to access since March 27, 2020. However, fans can now experience this new multiplayer mode on the PlayStation 4 and PC. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

To access the Resident Evil: Resistance open beta test you need to make sure that your version is updated. So if you downloaded the beta prior and didn’t delete it, check to see if your version is up to date. If matchmaking still isn’t working for you, try restarting the application.

Resistance is a new style of multiplayer for the Resident Evil series that comes bundled with the highly anticipated Resident Evil 3 Remake. Players can choose to take the role of the Survivor or Mastermind and engage in this asymmetric game mode. Since the announcement of Resistance Capcom has announced new characters that will be added to the Survivor and Mastermind rosters. This includes Alex Wesker, Oswell E. Spencer, and Resident Evil series heroine Jill Valentine.

Resident Evil 3 will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020. This demo is now immediately available on PlayStation 4 and PC. The Xbox One open beta test of Resistance went live on March 27, 2020.
