Netmarble’s smartphone title Seven Knights was announced for Nintendo Switch earlier this week during the Japanese Nintendo Direct as Seven Knights: Time Wanderer. That said, it was announced separately after the Direct that the game will also be releasing overseas with English support.
Check out the teaser trailer for the game below:
Seven Knights is a “real time turn based RPG” which launched in 2015, and is known for its amazing special attack animations and intuitive controls, as well as strategic PvP and guild-building content. The Switch version seems like it’ll have a higher prominence on the PvE aspect of the game, as it features an entirely original story free from gacha mechanics and more, with a young girl who has fallen into a bad timeline being the main character of the story.
A little bit of gameplay was shown off in the Japanese Nintendo Direct, and you can watch it below:
From the looks of it, Seven Knights: Time Wanderer will keep the graphical style of the smartphone game. Gameplay controls have been adapted to controllers by letting you select a character and their skill manually rather than touchscreen controls, although it wouldn’t be surprising if touchscreen is supported in Handheld mode as well.
Seven Knights: Time Wanderer releases in June 2020 for Nintendo Switch in Japan. It’s currently unknown when it releases overseas.
