A new One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 trailer and art have been released, and it might have people looking at the game in a whole new way. Bandai Namco worked with Yoko Maki, a known mangaka who has had shojo series appear in magazines like Ribon, offer her take on the characters and situation. Here are each of Maki’s takes on the One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 characters. Every single one of them is a playable character in the game, though they definitely don’t look like that there. And yes, that really is Big Mom.

Maki has actually retired as a mangaka, though she was known for multiple series and short story collections. One of her most famous was Aishiteruze Baby, about a high schooler who is a habitual flirt until he ends up being responsible for his neglected and orphaned cousin, Yuzuyu.
